Progress Wrestling Chapter 73: Fourth Shade of Green Preview & Predictions Trent Seven & Pete Dunne vs The Kings Of The North The Kings of The North (Damien Corvin & Bonesaw) appear as a tag team for only the second time in Progress as they look to overcome 2/3 of British Strong Style in the shape of Trent Seven and "The Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne. Their only previous Progress match was a defeat to The London Riots at Chapter 43 while Damien Corvin recently competed at Chapter 71 in an Atlas Championship number 1 contender match in which he was defeated by Michael Dante. Their opponents arrive with an impressive track record as former Progress Wrestling Tag Team Champions and are in fact undefeated in Progress when competing as a duo with their most recent victory coming against David Starr & Matt Riddle at Chapter 63. The reigning WWE UK Champion will however be wary of yet another appearance from Christian Michael Jakobi ahead of a much antic...

Progress Wrestling Chapter 71: F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S Conclusions 📷 @ThisIs_Progress Haskins & Flash continue to make their mark The Tag Team "Thunderbastard" Series continued as Haskins & Flash maintained their unbeaten start at the expense of The Anti-Fun Police. Accompanied as ever by Vicky Haskins the hitherto fractious relationship between Mark Haskins and "Flash" Morgan Webster appears to be shifting more towards a well oiled and highly effective partnership. That being said it wasn't plain sailing as Damian Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jnr proved that they most definitely belong in the Tag Team Series. In fact Santos Jnr looked to be on the verge of the first win in Progress for the Anti-Fun Police until Vicky Haskins intervened by distracting referee Chris Roberts. This enabled Webster to hit Santos Jnr with a low blow and Mark Haskins rolled the big man up for a three count. Haskins & Flash are unbeaten a...

Photo:@ThisIs_Progress Jimmy Havoc vs Spike Trivet (Death Match) Jimmy Havoc will get his first opportunity (in singles competition) to show that he still has the killer instinct Will Ospreay has demanded for their hotly anticipated match at Wembley, as he takes on Spike Trivet in a Death Match.  Ospreay told Havoc that he believes he has lost the vicious streak that made him the longest reigning Progress Champion in the history of the company and he wants him to re-discover it before they come face to face in September. Trivet comes in to this match, only his third in Progress, as a definite under...

Progress Wrestling Chapter 70: May 27th 1978 Conclusions Photo Credit @ThisIs_Progress A packed month of Progress Wrestling drew to a close on Sunday as the action returned to the regular surroundings of the Electric Ballroom in Camden. This was no regular show however as the whole show was transported back in time 40 years to May 27th 1978. This was the idea of co-owner Jim Smallman, partly inspired by recently turning 40 years old himself but also seen as a fun way to end the month following the huge SSS16 tournament and Chapter 69 in Manchester just one week prior. The theme of the show was fully embraced with all promotional content, match announcements, wrestlers and fans alike reflecting the fun, light-hearted atmosphere encouraged by Progress for this show. Although many of the matches were openly billed as being one-off affairs for this show with no relevance in terms of current feuds or ongoing competition there was a handful of important matches that have implica...

Progress Wrestling Chapter 69:Be Here Now Conclusions     Photo Credit @ThisIs_Progress       Progress Wrestling staged it's largest UK show outside of London this past Sunday and delivered a fantastic show that produced some great matches, surprise appearances and a couple of new Champions. Below are my key conclusions from Chapter 69:Be Here Now.   Aussie Open up and running in Tag Team "Thunderbastard" Tournament   Aussie Open were victorious in the first tag team match as part of the tournament to decide the Champions and entrant order for the inaugural Tag Team "Thunderbastard" match at Wembley in September. Their match against Connor Mills and Maverick Mayhew kicked off the show but not before current Champions Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) had made their displeasure at not being booked for the show known to the sold out Manchester crowd. They proceeded to join the commentary te...

This will be the largest show that Progress have staged outside of London and the stacked card certainly reflects how serious things are getting as all roads start to turn towards the companies huge show at Wembley Arena this September.  Hot on the heels of a stunning Super Strong Style 16 tournament at London's Alexandra Palace over the Bank Holiday weekend a number of existing rivalries and exciting new developments look set to play out this Sunday.
