Jimmy Havoc vs Spike Trivet (Death Match)

Jimmy Havoc will get his first opportunity (in singles competition) to show that he still has the killer instinct Will Ospreay has demanded for their hotly anticipated match at Wembley, as he takes on Spike Trivet in a Death Match.  Ospreay told Havoc that he believes he has lost the vicious streak that made him the longest reigning Progress Champion in the history of the company and he wants him to re-discover it before they come face to face in September. Trivet comes in to this match, only his third in Progress, as a definite underdog but also with a fast growing reputation when it comes to Death Matches. His last match in Progress was a defeat to Drew Parker in a No DQ match "Live at the Dome" in March. Although defeated, he showed that he is more than capable of dishing out some serious punishment in this environment and will not be overawed by his opponents Death Match pedigree and experience.

Prediction: Jimmy Havoc

Chris Brookes vs Angelico

After impressing on his Progress debut at SSS16 Angelico returns for what should be a great match up against Chris Brookes. The South African athlete really caught the eye at Alexandra Palace with a first round SSS16 victory over Mark Andrews. This was followed by a match of the year contender in defeat against Keith Lee in the Quarter-Finals . The "Team SPLX" athlete will no doubt get a great reception after his debut weekend and will be a dangerous opponent for Brookes. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the "Calamari Catch King" can give after it was revealed via Twitter this week that Brookes has been dealing with some issues around the participation of CCK in the Tag Team "Thunderbastard" Series. He revealed that tag team partner Kid Lykos, who is currently injured, will not be competing in the series and has refused to attend any Progress shows since he was attacked by TK Cooper at Chapter 65. It has subsequently been announced that Brookes will now compete against the other 6 tag teams in the series as a singles competitor. This will no doubt be in the back of Brookes' mind going in to this match and it will be interesting to see how he approaches it as a result.

Prediction: Chris Brookes

Danny Duggan vs Mark Davis ( Natural Progression Series Semi-Final)

It will be decided this Sunday who will face Chris Ridgeway in the Final of the Natural Progression Series as Danny Duggan and Mark Davis go head to head in the second Semi-Final. Duggan will arguably enter the match as a slight underdog against the bigger, more powerful Davis but this should still be a tight contest. Duggan qualified by defeating Danny Jones in the First Round, however this was somewhat overshadowed by the presence of Eddie Dennis as Jones was caught in the crossfire of the feud between Dennis and Jones' friend/mentor Mark Andrews. As for "Dunkzilla" it has been an impressive route to the Semi-Final as he defeated his "Aussie Open" partner Kyle Fletcher in a fantastic qualifying match before dispatching a spirited Maverick Mayhew in the First Round.

Prediction: Mark Davis

Michael Dante vs Damien Corvin ( Number One Contender for Atlas Championship Match)

Former Progress Tag Team Champion (Sumerian Death Squad w/ Tommy End) Michael Dante returns to Progress for the first time in nearly two years with the chance to become Number One Contender for the Progress Atlas Championship. He will be challenged by "The Prince of Pain" Damien Corvin ,who has also not been seen in Progress for over a year, with his one and only match (a tag team contest as part of  The Kings of The North against The London Riots) ending in defeat. Progress management arranged this contest due to the lack of an apparent challenger to newly crowned Atlas Champion Doug Williams and it provides a great opportunity for both men in what is currently a wide open division.

Prediction: Michael Dante

Jinny (C) w/ Chakara vs Steffanie Newell (Progress Womens World Championship)

Following her victory over Toni Storm at Chapter 69 new Progress Womens World Champion Jinny declared an open challenge for any female wrestler in the world that thought they could come to Progress and challenge for her title. That challenge was answered by a returning Progress favourite Steffanie Newell. These two women have significant history, Newell's last match before she left to join NXT just over a year ago was a defeat to Jinny in the Natural Progression Series Semi-Final and she will no doubt be looking to make up for that loss on Sunday. However there is no doubt that she will come face to face with an even harder to beat opponent this time around. The Champion will be supremely confident following her title victory in Manchester and with the added advantage of "House of Couture" member Chakara in her corner, few would back against her retaining the gold in Sheffield.

Prediction: Jinny

South Pacific Power Trip (TK Cooper & Travis Banks) vs Walter & Jack Sexsmith
- If Walter or Sexsmith get the pin then they earn a Progress World Championship match, if they are pinned then they can't challenge again while Banks is Champion.
-TK Cooper gets a Progress Atlas Championship match if he gets the pin

The ramifications of Progress World Champion Travis Banks' most recent title defences will come to a head this Sunday as a he partners with TK Cooper in a tag team match that could have monumental consequences for all four men involved. Ever since he walked away during his Championship match against Walter at SSS16 (retaining the title via a Count Out defeat) it has felt like Travis Banks is quite possibly a man on borrowed time as the Progress World Champion. Walter has been a man on a mission since his victory at Alexandra Palace, he voluntarily relinquished the Atlas Championship after Banks declared he would not get another World Championship match as long as he held it. Since SSS16 the Austrian has also beaten TK Cooper and David Starr in singles matches and many would argue that he appears to have Banks on the run. In Manchester at Chapter 69 Banks successfully defended his title against Jack Sexsmith but was pushed to the limit in the process. At one stage he again tried to walk away from the match when it appeared Sexsmith was getting the better of him, only for Walter to appear and block his path. Eventually the "Kiwi Buzzsaw" got the job done as he locked in the "Lions Clutch", Sexsmith was unable to escape and passed out in the hold giving Banks the win. Both of these title matches saw the presence of Banks' South Pacific Power Trip partner TK Cooper at ringside and it will be interesting to see what role he plays on Sunday considering he has a vested interest in picking up the pin so that he gets an Atlas Championship match. The biggest question hanging over this match will be whether either team can get on the same page with so much on the line for each individual competitor involved?

Prediction: Walter pins TK Cooper

Mark Haskins & Flash Morgan Webster vs Anti-Fun Police (Tag Team Thunderbastard Series)

The Tag Team "Thunderbastard" Series continues this Sunday as Haskins & Flash look to extend their current run of winning form at the expense of the Anti-Fun Police. The team masterminded by Vicky Haskins are currently 1 for 1 in the series and have increasingly looked like a force to be reckoned with over recent months. This will be only the second appearance in Progress for Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos Jnr after their highly entertaining debut at Chapter 64 which ended in defeat to the team of David Starr & Jack Sexsmith. They will undoubtedly be eager to get a win on the leader board at the first opportunity but as ever the presence of Vicky Haskins at ringside for this match could prove pivotal.

Prediction: Haskins & Flash
